Just a rough concept of the main character and the rock monster. The monster I made up as I went, so is not gonna look like that probably. Mainly did this to test out Corel Painter IX! It is good.

Here’s an early version of our main character, spontaneously named Jack Rat, after Jack Black. Er, yeah the name doesn’t matter, as it’s never going to come up in the film. But here he is, in high res (quarter of a million polys) without textures.

Here’s a painting of the entrance to the band’s cave, one of the first locations in the film. In the film, this is probably going to be set at night, with thunder & lightning and such. Click on image for full size version!
